Personal: Maternity Leave
Posted on February 17, 2012
In the recent months I have slowed down my work, but as of today I am officially on maternity leave from my photography business. My business and my clients have given me so much joy, but it is now time to get ready for my little bundle of joy that will be arriving in a few weeks. As this belly grows it makes it harder to maneuver and have the energy needed to put my full effort into each shoot. I have not decided when this maternity leave will be completed as this is my first child and I am unsure of time commitments will be like, but it will be at least until July 2012. If you are looking to book a photoshoot I will be checking my email throughout the next few months and will get back to you as soon as I can although please be patient with the time it takes to reply.
I am looking forward to the upcoming months with our new baby and will be back soon!
Much Love,
Cari Renn Photography & Baby Renn

Featured Newborn Session: Baby “A”
Posted on February 17, 2012
About a week after we had this maternity session their baby decided to make his grand entrance into the world. Baby “A” had decided to be a January baby after all! As I am getting closer to my due date I have more of an appreciation of how precious those first few days would be for the parents of a newborn and I wanted to make sure I captured the joy and love that these two awesome parents had for their baby already. Baby “A” was a trooper and really did a great job with the session and was sleepy for us until he had enough of being center stage for the day. The parents later informed me that their little model was so tired from all the posing that he took VERY long naps! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
This next picture really evokes so much emotion for me I got a little choked up when I saw moment unfold in the nursery. This baby is very loved.

Featured Maternity Session: Christyn
Posted on January 26, 2012
I have known Christyn for a long time and it has seemed that our paths in life have merged at many different points with working at two institutions together and now being pregnant at the same time! What an adventure we have had! It has been a wonderful experience being pregnant and I have learned over these past 8 months the power of capturing such a beautiful time in my life. So when Christyn asked me to take maternity photos of her with less than a week to her due date time I knew how much it would mean to her to have pictures of this time in her life and that time was of the essence to take these pictures! We met at the place where she married her wife and a place they hold very close to their hearts. With Starbucks in our hands we toughed the below freezing temperatures outside and captured their growing family with some amazing morning light. Christyn I hope you enjoy your sneak preview and that Baby B will make his arrival very soon! Happy Due Date!

Featured Engagement Session: Lisa & Eddie
Posted on October 25, 2011
When I was getting married Lisa spent hours with me getting every detail perfect. Lisa is the type of friend who will spend 8 hours working on a peony to go on our invites and so when she got engaged I was ecstatic. We would spend hours talking about her wedding one day and all the details that she wanted on her day. A few years later Eddie made her dreams come true when he asked her to marry him on bended knee overlooking the water. I just know that her wedding is going to be amazing and with amazing beautiful details that reflect both her and Eddie’s love for each other. When we started to discuss wedding details I was hoping that I would be able to pay it forward a small amount by taking their engagement photos to capture such an amazing part of their lives together. We started the day out on the beach that they got engaged and ended the session in the beautiful Lynch Park. To Lisa and Eddie you are wonderful friends and I feel so blessed to be able to give this wonderful gift to both of you. I can’t wait to share in your wedding day and be part of start of the next chapter in your lives! Hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Featured 9 month Session: Baby “S”
Posted on October 25, 2011
I was able to get the opportunity to be able to take pictures of Baby S once again [6 month session here]. I was very excited to meet with this family again and be able to see how fast Baby S has grown. She was rolling over and starting to learn a little bit how to crawl and now three months later she is motoring around as a professional crawler and very close to walking! It was such a joy to be able to capture this little girl once again and be apart of her first year. She is learning so much and is still trying to decide between becoming a Red Sox or Yankees fan! Can’t wait to see how big you are at your 1 year birthday!! Hope you enjoy!

Featured Session: Miss “N” Portraits
Posted on October 25, 2011
In the middle of the hot summer we were able to capture some moments of Miss “N” as it was near her fourth birthday. Although we were both sweaty and hot she was able to give me that glowing smile and twinkle in her eye. This portrait session was very special to me as it was for my niece and watching her grow up has been such a pleasure! We have been able to spend so much time doing crafts together, mani/pedis, and of course doing each other’s hair that of course I jumped at the chance of being able to take some pictures out in the front lawn. With her uncle behind me making monkey faces and hitting himself on the heard we were able to really capture Miss “N’s” spirit within these pictures! I can’t wait to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady. Enjoy!

Featured Newborn Session: Baby “C”
Posted on July 11, 2011
When it comes to newborns they get to run the show and we quickly learned that he did not enjoy being naked and sleeping was way overrated that afternoon. As we were quick to change our game plan as new parents they went with the flow and had such wonderful patience the entire photo shoot. Gold stars for both of you! Even on his most fussiest day though he was still the sweetest and easy to please baby on the block. I learned about the famous 5 S’s and that newborns are adorable with or without clothes on. Thank you so much “D” family for letting me into your home and being part of your first few weeks as a new family. Enjoy your sneak peek!
and the sweet sweet family as one…

Personal: Florida Sunsets
Posted on June 28, 2011
On vacation I normally am the one who is snapping away on the camera asking people to join together. Although there was a ton of that for my family this recent vacation [thanks for being great sports!] I also spent a great deal of time trying to get the perfect sunset picture. As my husband wanted to relax and gaze into the sea as the sun was setting I was trying to find the right camera setting to get get “the one.” Being married to a budding photographer at times can take a peaceful and romantic moment and turn it into a “lets take a photo of it” moment. Each day the sun looked different, the sky was filled with different colors, and the sunsets never got old in Florida. Looking back on these photographs I can almost feel the hot Florida sun and I know that they will bring me future joy when the harsh winter comes around again.
Honestly, can’t you have it all? Romance of a sunset and capturing it all at the same time? You betcha!

Featured Family Session: the “O” Family
Posted on June 28, 2011
The “O” family was the second part to my double header photoshoot weekend and as I pulled up and saw the beautiful sun shining down on the lake I knew it was going to be a great morning. As I spoke with them for a few minutes getting ready it started to drizzle and yet it didn’t get them down! They picked up an umbrella and a blanket and off to the lake we went for some family fun. This type of attitude is what makes this family great and just so fun to be around. As we took a couple clicks with the camera the sun was shining again and the umbrella was tossed to the side. Thank you so much for taking the morning in stride, jumping up and down doing karate moves to get a laugh, and climbing big rocks! I can’t wait for the adventures up in Maine together and Mexico! [yup, we are going!] Enjoy your smile filled sneak peek!

Featured Family Session
Posted on June 28, 2011
My first double header on a weekend and I am so thankful to have started off the weekend with such an easy going family! Almost a year ago I was able to meet up with baby A on this photoshoot and it was such a joy to reconnect with her mommy and watch as baby A has grown so much within a year! So I was very excited when I was given the chance again to take more pictures of baby A and her family. There were so many smiles and laughter the entire afternoon and it filled my heart with happiness. It was such a pleasure being able to capture baby A’s growth and be able to spend time with this fantastic family. Thank you for allowing me in your home again and I hope you love your sneak peek!
